Yep, the effects of winter have finally hit us.

Well, not that it makes a huge difference anyway since I haven't really been going anywhere. It does stink though that we're mostly snowed in and shouldn't really go anywhere. Most of the tasks I've saved for today involve major cleaning & inventory accounting. I'll have a newer appreciation for California this time around, on my next trip out.

On a different note, an Intel Atom system (rather than a board), is on its way to me. I'm satisfied with the current level of performance, with the dual-core chip. This system also has HDMI out, which may end up enabling sharper imaging over the VGA D-Sub I was using before. I'll post more detailed commentary once I get it and am able to put it through the grind.

I'll update this post a bit later, when I've worked through some technical tasks today. I just wanted to get it started so I'd at least have something down when I revisit :)
